Welcome! It’s a joy to have you browsing our web site. I hope that you would connect with Jesus through our community at Messiah Lutheran Church and Preschool. Our web site is just a small window to look at some of the things God is doing with Messiah Lutheran. My goal is to serve with you and others to point each other and those around us to Jesus. Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to having you visit in person in the near future!
Pastor Mark Adrian
Pastor Mark is a follower of Jesus. His passion is to empower others to follow Jesus and be a beacon of hope to the community around them. During these challenging times, he desires that we can find the hope of Jesus in every situation and understand the deep, unconditional love and mercy God has for them. God has blessed him on this journey with his wife, Amy, and 3-year-old son, Mark III, and newborn twin daughters, Kate and Sarah.
Pastor Mark was raised in Lake Mary, Fla. He received a Bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla., where he became a diehard Gator fan. After serving on a Mission trip to the favelas of Brazil, he felt the call to spread the joy of Jesus to others. He then enrolled in Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Mo., where he graduated in 2011 with a Master’s of Divinity (M. Div.). His first ministerial call was in Bremerton, Wash., a navy town west of Seattle, Wash. In 2016, he accepted the call as senior pastor at Messiah Lutheran Church and Preschool in Tampa. He’s glad to be a Floridian once again!
Abby Moss loves Jesus and is passionate about helping students, youth and young families grow and transition in faith. She was born and raised in Palatine, Illinois to loving parents who made sure that faith development was a priority for her and her younger brother, Matt. She attended St. Peter Lutheran Church and School in Arlington Heights, IL from preschool to 8th grade.
After high school, Abby went to Concordia University in Ann Arbor, MI to study Family Life Education. She followed God’s leading and completed her degree in Family Life Ministry in 2006. Her first Call was to stay at her internship site at Peace Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, MI.
In the spring of 2011, Abby accepted the Call from Messiah Lutheran Church and Preschool in Tampa and has been partnering with and supporting teens and families here ever since. She looks forward to partnering with you as you grow in faith and in this huge undertaking of passing it on. We aren’t alone in this partnership, as Isaiah 55:11 promises, “so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire, and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
No church can function without the help of its congregation, and many people at Messiah Lutheran Church have volunteered their time and talents to providing leadership and direction for the church.
