1. Read Mark 13:1-2 Where in your life are you most tempted to focus on building "grand stones" while neglecting the actual people around you?

2. Read 1 Kings 8. Solomon starts off so strong in building the temple, but we begin to see the “I’s” creep in that will eventually lead to the downfall. Why is it so easy for us to forget that we are just rescued sinners, and how does that forgetfulness lead to pride?

3. Who are the "widows"—the quiet, overlooked, or hurting people—in your life that you might be missing because you are too distracted by your own goals?

4. How does knowing Jesus loves and rescues you even on your worst, most unlovable days change the way you treat your spouse, kids, or coworkers this week?
