“Come to the Cross and Remember”

Inspirational Worship Cantata

Christ's journey to the cross is filled with images of His sacrificial love for us: the Palms, the Cup and the Bread, the Nails, the Crown of Thorns, and more. These images form the centerpiece of "Come to the Cross and Remember" as each visual is brought forward to create an inspirational tableau. The journey is illuminated by the haunting melodies of "Go to Dark Gethsemane" and “O Sacred Head Now Wounded”, the spine-tingling "Judas," the mournful "Surely He Has Borne Our Griefs," the transportive "You Will Be with Me in Paradise," and the majestic "Every Knee Should Bow."

Midweek Lent Worship

Our Midweek Lent journey will dive deep into the mysteries of suffering, faith, and the sovereignty of God through the Book of Job.

We will host an optional dinner every Wednesday (except Ash Wednesday) between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Worship begins at 7:00 p.m. (Note: Ash Wednesday worship is at 7:30 p.m.)

Ash Wednesday – February 18th — 7:30 p.m.

Other Wednesdays in Lent — 7:00 pm

(February 25th, March 4th, March 11th, March 18th, March 25th)

Dinner will be served between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on all Wednesdays except Ash Wednesday.

Daily Lent Devotions

From Lutheran Hour Ministries can be viewed daily here.

Teens, we will explore garden themes and “Sow, Now It’s Lent!” On Sundays in Bible Study. Supplemental devotions are available in class any Sunday at 9:45AM. Also feel free to subscribe to our text Daily Devotion.

Children and Families, may use our “All Around Jerusalem” Lent book and scene Journey with Jesus. Start on Ash Wednesday and each day add a piece to the set and explore what Jesus was up to during Holy Week. Use this at home in your nightly/weekly family devotions.

Paper copies of the devotions can be picked up in the Narthex or Church office.
