Prayer Vigil: Seeking the Lord Together

As we begin this next season of ministry, we are inviting the congregation to a 12-hour prayer vigil the week of July 19th. We will begin our vision weekend with a prayer vigil. This is a dedicated time to seek the Lord’s leading as our leaders prepare to work with the Genysys Group.

Rather than bringing our requirements to God, we come with open hearts, ready to hear His voice and follow His direction for our future. Following the promise of Jeremiah 29:13, we call on God’s promise, "You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart."

What participants can expect-

  • Each thirty-minute session begins with 8-13 minutes of scripture reading followed by prayer.

  • We will meet in the front of the sanctuary to read scripture and pray.

  • Pastor Mark or an elder will also be present to facilitate the prayer time.

  • You may choose to participate in reading the psalms, verbal prayer, or pray in silence.

Schedule & Registration

The prayer times will be split into 30-minute segments during the following times:

  • Sunday, July 19 3-6 pm

  • Tuesday, July 21 8-11 am

  • Thursday, July 23, 5-8 pm

  • Saturday, July 25 8-11 am

By breaking the times into 30-minute intervals, we make it possible for the whole body of Christ to participate in this work. This vigil is for all of our Messiah Family: adults, youth and children!

We encourage you to sign up for the date and time that works best for you, if you feel you aren't sure about your schedule, please drop in at any of the vigil times.

Building a legacy of faith requires a holy persistence in prayer. This vigil offers a space to seek God with all our hearts, trusting in His promise that He will be found. By breaking the times into 30-minute intervals, we make it possible for the whole body of Christ to participate in this work. Join us as we seek not just God’s hands, but His face.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Pastor Mark at pastormark@messiahtampa.com.
