Below are questions to help you and your household reflect on the sermon.

1. What is a specific talent, resource, or chunk of time you feel like you have been keeping "in the closet" waiting for the perfect moment to use it?

2. Read Mark 8:1-8. The disciples looked at the crowd and immediately focused on what they didn't have. Why is it so easy for us to believe our resources (seven loaves) are too small for God to actually use?

3. Read 1 Timothy 4:1-4. Why do we sometimes still fall into the trap of thinking that "spiritual" things are holy, but everyday physical things are somehow unholy or less important to God?

4. Martin Luther taught that God cares for his creation hiding behind the "masks" of everyday workers (the farmer, the parent, the mechanic). How does this perspective change the way you view your typical 9-to-5 job or your daily household chores?
