2. Read Revelation 5:5-10. The elder announces the conquering Lion of Judah, but when John looks, he sees a slain Lamb. How does this upside-down picture of power change the way we understand how God saves us?

3. Read Luke 18:9-14. The Pharisee thought his prayer was heard because of his impressive resume, while the tax collector only had his brokenness. In what subtle ways do we still try to present our "resumes" to God when we pray?

4. How does knowing your prayers are pleasing to God—not because of your words, but because of the Lamb's blood, give you the confidence to boldly pray for someone in your life this week?
